Studio 7-302

My studio is in the gantryway between buildings 8 and 10 of the historic General Mills Research Laboratory at 2010 East Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis. It was once home to the Betty Crocker Kitchens. This old brownstone complex was where Cheerios, Pop Tarts and microwave ovens were invented in the 1930s.

I also paint outdoors (en plein air) and use a portable set-up called a Guerrilla Painter pochade box. I like to use Gamblin oil paints because of their buttery consistency. Unlike conventional oil paints, they are made from vegetable oil and are non-toxic.
